Mastering English Step by Step: CEFR Roadmap Introduced in MA Arifah Gowa’s ICP and English Camp

Mastering English is a journey that requires time, practice, and the right guidance. To help students understand this process clearly, MA Arifah Gowa introduces the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) roadmap through its International Class Program (ICP) and English Camp activities.

The CEFR roadmap explains how English skills grow step by step, from basic levels (A1–A2) to advanced levels (C1–C2). At the beginner stage, students learn simple words and expressions used in daily life, such as greetings, self-introductions, and basic conversations. As their vocabulary grows, students become more confident in using English.

One important milestone in this journey is Level B1, where learners begin to communicate independently. At this level, students can talk about their plans, experiences, and ideas using English in real situations. Higher levels, such as B2 and C1, prepare students for academic and professional communication, helping them express opinions and understand more complex topics.

This learning roadmap is one of the key materials delivered in the International Class Program (ICP) at MA Arifah Gowa. To strengthen students’ understanding and practice, the school will also hold an English Camp on February 11–13, 2026, in Sampulungan. During this camp, students will learn English in a fun and active environment through discussions, games, and real-life communication practice.

Through the ICP and English Camp, MA Arifah Gowa aims to improve students’ English proficiency while also building confidence, discipline, and good character. These programs reflect the school’s commitment to preparing students for global challenges without losing their identity and values as madrasah students.
